The Employment Act 1955 governs the relations between employers and employees and the prevention and settlement of disputes, as well as setting minimum benefits for employees covering pay, leave and conditions among other areas.
Labuan offers a very conducive environment to foreigners who want to set up a company and apply for a work permit. All Labuan companies can apply for renewable multiple entry work permits for all directors and expatriates together with their spouse and children under the age of 21, subject to some conditions such as job description and skills of the staff as well as a minimum salary.
